A Grade 1 or Group 1 Fire Rating means our products have achieved the highest level of fire safety certification in Australia under the AS 5637.1 and AS ISO 9705 standards. How is the Group 1 Fire Test performed?
The product is exposed to an intense full-scale room burn test in accordance with AS ISO 9705. The results are measured by the heat release rate, flame spread, and smoke development, determining its classification under AS 5637.1. Only materials with the lowest fire growth rates achieve Group 1 classification.
