How to install an artificial flower wall? |
Installing an artificial flower wall is easy when you buy hand-assembled panels from Designer Vertical Gardens. Choose the most suitable faux flower panels for your home or office.
Our flower wall comes in 40cm x 60cm size. Start by measuring the length and width of your space to determine how many flower walls you will need (4 panels per m2) The flower wall can then be joined together using cable ties and stapled at 25cm internals to the wall, or alternatively you can use screws.
How to setup an artificial flower vase? |
Select the vase considering the length of the stems. The height of the stems should be two to three times higher than the vase, and the width of the stems should be double than the width of the pot. Choose a unique vase of pot to make the arrangement look more impactful. Use stems of different heights for an organic look. After placing your stems in the vase, bend and fluff the stems to make them look natural. You can also use a clear resin inside if you wish to imitate water.
How to join flower wall panels? |
You can easily connect flower wall panels by using the clips along the side of the panels. Simply push the spear through the hole and then cable tie the panels together.
How to use artificial plants indoors? |
Our artificial plants create a vibrant and welcoming environment for any space. Whether you are buying artificial plants for your home or office, you should keep adding the variation of plant type and size. You can change artificial plants as per the season for a new look. For larger spaces you should use a plant that is tall (at least 1m high), and then place smaller potted plants around the base should you wish to have an artificial plant cluster.
Where should I use flower wall panels? |
Flower wall panels are perfect for attaching onto any internal wall, such as a bedroom wall for children or a lounge room to soften colour accents and toners. The other common use for flower walls is an event backdrop.
What is a living wall? |
Living walls are also known as vertical gardens or green walls, and considered the best option to bring nature inside your home or office. The green walls can give your space a modern and sophisticated look. You can create a green wall simply by hanging plant pots on a vertical frame or using a portable green wall stand.
How long do artificial vertical gardens last? |
Good quality artificial vertical gardens can last for many years. In particular, if you apply regular UV protection spray you should be able to achieve a lifespan of 8+ years. Cheaper quality artificial vertical gardens such as those commonly sold from large outlets may only last 12 months before cracking from the sun.
How can I hang Artificial Vines and Bushes? |
It is challenging to hang vines on walls as every surface requires something different. Using push pins, trim nails, clear tape, or small hooks will be beneficial for hanging the strands and vines at your home. Stick the hooks on the wall depending on the number of vines your plant has, and hang them accordingly. However, if you want to create a more fairytale-like wall by hanging artificial potted plants, you would need to use wall pots and add the stems to those by placing foam inside and poking the stem of the artificial bush into the foam. You can even opt for adhesive hooks or shelves if you want to do away with the risk of wall damage.
How to increase the height of your fake plant? |
Fake plants have restricted heights, but you can still increase their height using some plant shelf extensions or tall planters. You can fill up the base of fake plants pots and planters with dirt, rocks, foam blocks and moss, which will indirectly increase the plant size. Similarly, you can stuff the pot with reused or scrap materials such as wrapping paper, cardboard or other unwanted plastic or trash available at home. You can then give a pleasing look to your plant with a few more attractive artificial rocks on top and the use of scent.
How to plant an artificial plant? |
With technological advancements, great artificial plants and trees are available to decorate your home, ranging from ferns to vines, succulents to bushes. Begin filling the base with dirt, rocks, foam blocks or moss to increase the plant height. Place the pot far away from sunlight and too much wind. Fill the remaining pot with about 80% - 90% of earth or sand, or use the dry version of the floral oasis. Push the spike of the artificial plant into the pot, and planting is done. You may still decorate it with fern picks, or boxwood picks to enhance the look of the plant.
How to add colour to a green wall? |
You can easily add colour to a green wall by adding Designer Vertical Garden stems and bushes by poking them through the existing green wall and cable tying the stems into place against the backing of the green wall.
How to create a green wall circle? |
You can quaickly and easly create a green wall circle by purchasing a vertical garden panel and using scissors and cutting to shape. Start by getting a piece of cardboard and drawing the required sized circle on it. Then turn your green wall panel over with the back facing up and place your circular cut out on the panel. Please then proceed to cut along the outside of the cardboard and you should be left with a green wall circle.
How to clean your artificial plant? |
The easiest way to clean your artificial plant is by using a plant cleaner spray such as the Designer Vertical Garden spray which is soft on the plastics but tough on grime. Alternatively you can use 95% water, 1% aloe vera, 3% low strength detergent and 1% a common oil which restores shine.
How to make fake plants UV resistant? |
Thoroughly clean your faux plants. Use a damp cloth or spray if necessary to clear the debris and dust. Once the moisture dries off, apply an UV resistant spray. Cleaning the plant beforehand ensures a thorough and even spread of the spray. Take special care that the spray is appropriate to the material of your artificial plant and allow 24 hours to dry.
How to make fake plants look real? |
Dusting and keeping the plants clean always helps. Placing the plants in a location similar to where you would place a natural plant makes it more believable. Surrounding the plants with real-life soil, dirt, sand, rocks, or moss makes the plants appear more natural. Pairing up several different fake plants together also adds authenticity to your faux plant garden.
How to choose the best artificial plants? |
The best artificial plants depend on their setting and their placement. For the study area, succulents or a flowering plant such as an orchid are an amazing addition working as mood-boosters. Potted zanzibars, orchids, and bamboo create an atmosphere of softness, sophistication and relaxation perfect for your serene bedroom. Living rooms are where you would want to add some texture to your furniture and decor, ficus, bamboos and palms are commonly used to beautify such areas.
