Designer Vertical Gardens worked with a well-renowned Brisbane landscape and design company on a riverside apartment development requiring a clean, cohesive and high-end outdoor greenery solution.
The project included six separate areas across the apartment development. The goal was to create a unified visual appearance so the residences felt connected, premium and intentionally designed, while still preserving the luxury waterfront outlook.
The client specialises in high-end landscaping, construction and design services throughout Brisbane and Queensland. Their approach focuses on creating outdoor spaces that add both visual appeal and long-term property value.
For this apartment project, they needed a solution that looked established immediately, complemented the architecture, and avoided the complications of live creepers, vines or hedging.
Artificial boxwood hedging was used to create a neat, architectural greenery finish along outdoor transition areas.
The dense foliage helped create privacy and greenery without waiting for natural planting to mature.
The property featured a strong architectural palette of whites, browns and hard exterior finishes. A third colour was needed to soften the overall appearance and add natural contrast without overwhelming the waterfront setting.
The solution also needed to cover plain or unsightly areas quickly, provide visual separation between residences, and avoid the ongoing watering, pruning and establishment period required by living plants.
Each area was designed to feel clean, considered and highly finished, with the artificial boxwood acting as both a privacy screen and a decorative architectural feature.
Lighting enhanced the hedge texture and helped turn the wall into a premium evening feature.
The greenery added contrast against paved surfaces and prevented the space from feeling too hard or plain.
Boxwood screening created privacy while still supporting a clean, luxury outdoor living environment.
The hedge panels framed outdoor areas and gave the apartment decks a more established, designer finish.
To achieve the desired third colour and natural contrast, Designer Vertical Gardens supplied Classic English Boxwood Artificial Hedge panels.
The deep green, manicured English boxwood style helped define the outdoor zones, brighten the apartment surrounds, and complement the waterfront backdrop.
The dense boxwood texture created a full, manicured and premium greenery finish across the project.
A major advantage of artificial hedge installations is that they can be adapted to suit almost any space, height, width or design requirement.
Designer Vertical Gardens can custom make mesh frames, timber-style frames, lightweight screening systems or project-specific structures depending on the installation location. These frames can then be fitted with the preferred green wall or hedge panel style to create a tailored result.
The final result delivered a crisp, consistent and high-value greenery outcome across the apartment exterior.
With an approximate budget of $10,000, the project achieved a strong visual transformation across the apartment development.
The artificial boxwood helped unify the separate residences, introduced a refined natural green colour palette, and created an established landscaping look without the time and cost pressures of live plant maintenance.
